1. About The University

The University of Roehampton is located in southwest London on a huge parkland campus. The university's origin may be traced back to four teacher training colleges established in the nineteenth century. 

Teacher education today remains a significant strength of the University of Roehampton. A number of 8,000 students from 110 different nationalities emphasise teaching diversity at the university. Biological Anthropology, Dance, Drama, and English Literature programmes are highly respected by students. The Swiss Glion Institute of Higher Education offers undergraduate and postgraduate hospitality studies in collaboration with the University of Roehampton to deploy online international hospitality business courses.

International excellence scholarship

Value: Up to £4,000

About

The scholarship offers generous tuition fee discounts to high achieving international students enrolling Master's programmes. The discounts are worth as followings:

• £4,000 to be eligible for one year
• £2,500 to be eligible for one year
• £1,000 to be eligible for one year

The scholarship can be added to other scholarships, excluding Alumni Referral Discount.

Eligible criteria

Eligible candidates for this scholarship are students who:

• Are an EU or “Overseas” status students
• Apply for an eligible full-time Master's programme 
• Pay the full course fee for that year

Value: £2,500 per year

The scholarship offers extra financial support of £2,500 per year to help international students afford higher education at the University of Roehampton. Students are awarded in the form of a tuition fee automatic discount.

The scholarship can be added to any other scholarship.

Eligible criteria

Eligible candidates for this scholarship are students who:

• Are domiciled from particular countries: Ghana, and Nigeria
• Apply for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course full time
• Pay the full course fee for that year

Students whose application route progresses with QA Higher Education will be alternated to a different scholarship.

Roehampton music scholarship

Value: £1,200

About

The scholarship offers £1,200 per year to students who demonstrate high levels of excellence in music. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are enabled to develop their talents through courses, or the purchase of relevant equipment, such as instruments, strings, and sheet music. Moreover, successful recipients also receive travel and entry costs for competitions and gym access.

The scholarship can be added to any other scholarship.

Eligible criteria

Eligible candidates for this scholarship are students who:

• Are identified as UK, EU and “Overseas” status residence
• Prepare between 5-8 minutes of music to perform live at an audition or to record for a video with any style or genre
• Apply for an eligible undergraduate, or postgraduate course
• Pay the full course fee for that year

Roehampton sport scholarship

Value: £500 to £1,500

About

The scholarship values from £500 to £1,500 per year based on the performance level. The students are enabled to develop potential in both sporting and academic performance. Successful recipients also receive mentoring, gym access, and academic support.

The scholarship can be added to any other scholarship.

Eligible criteria

Eligible candidates for this scholarship are students who:

• Are identified as UK, EU and “Overseas” status residence
• Demonstrate the commitment to the chosen sport as well as the ability to balance sporting performance and academic progression
• Apply for an eligible undergraduate, or postgraduate course
• Pay the full course fee for that year

Roehampton esports scholarship

Value: £1,500

About

The first-of-its-kind esports scholarship is worth £1,500 per year to foster esports excellence in the country. Successful recipients receive access to cutting-edge esports facilities with streaming platforms and an internal arena. A mentorship scheme is available to connect new students with senior figures and acquire new skills from them. 

The scholarship can be added to any other scholarship.

Eligible criteria

Eligible candidates for this scholarship are students who:

• Are identified as UK, EU and “Overseas” status residence
• Demonstrate the dedication to the chosen games (i.e., League of Legends, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) as well as the ability to balance esports and academic progression
• Apply for an eligible full-time undergraduate, or postgraduate course
• Pay the full course fee for that year
